I woke up under siege! Three of the Mip Mips were
clambering all over me wanting to get to their mommy – who sat on the window
sill! Eventually she deigned to feed her hungry brood – only to get up after
less than a minute, scattering crying, hungry Mip Mips everywhere! Rabenmutter!
So I took out the mousse and fed them – they all ate quite hungrily for some
time. All the while Silver craning her neck for just a chance to steal food!
Ai, ai, ai. Yet, I am thoroughly loving this ‘family time’ in the morning.
Then I started today’s mission, first stop: PC Shop.
That worked out really satisfactorily for me. I got the Data off my old PC,
they put the second hard drive off that PC into an external casing for me. The
old PC’s power supply had blown yet again; I had just put a new one in before I
came to PE – and it blew before I arrived here! I’m really not willing to put another
cent into that PC – so I got lucky, the shop took the PC in exchange for their
labour and the external casing! I’m sure it’s a profitable bargain for them,
since there’s a new graphics card in there as well. But it’s a bargain for me
as well, since it saves me the headache of advertising & selling the parts.
I had intended to give it to charity – but it needs too much work, I would just
be transferring the headache to them, and that’s not charitable. So as far as I’m
concerned it was win-win.
They also had the AV Grabber I wanted, at a good
price, too. Since driving to Makro would take me close to home anyway, I
decided to go home first and see if the AV Grabber is what I needed (I’m a bit
stupid with stuff like that). Before I make the high-cost purchase at Makro to
get my project started … lucky I did, since it doesn’t fit. The mistake is
mine, since I didn’t discuss it at the PC Shop.
Back home the Mip Mips are hungry again – I don’t know
what those two adults do with them all day, don’t they feed them? Well, I put
down another round of mousse and they all ate – again quite hungrily.
And now I’m off to Makro for my regular, monthly
purchases.
I don’t know what happened to all that energy I had
this morning, but when I got back from Makro it had been used up – completely!
I was so tired, I decided to take a short nap. Well, that lasted three hours!
It was four in the afternoon when I finally woke up. Evidently I had some sleep
to catch up. Rose had been up while I slept – I never even heard her knock.
She timed her next attempt perfectly, I had just
gotten up. Tiger Tim seems to have developed a fondness for climbing on me – he
was clambering all over me when I woke up, and started licking my nose.
The Mip Mips put up an excellent entertainment for us
when Rose visited. They have developed rather a funny method of getting down
off my bed: they slide head first downward between the bed and the Chest of
Drawers. It’s quite funny as they land on their head. They’ve grown up so fast –
not so long ago, I would have to place them on the bed, and they stayed in
their nest; now they’re up and down the bed all by themselves. Quizzy Lizzy
even started clambering up the Chest of Drawers by the handles! She got up to
the second drawer then gave up – I dread the day I find her sitting on top of
my laptop!
Well, I’m still tired, so a quick dinner, bath and
back to bed. Maybe I get it to myself for a while tonight! Needless to say, I
didn’t fill the drum after all – it’s been much too windy for comfort all
afternoon!
