Mip Mip update

For some reason yesterdays post didn’t load, so I’ll have to re-do that tonight. I think it’s because I tried to upload a short video – after half an hour, I gave up and cancelled the upload. That may have cancelled the publishing of the post as well.

Silver was being quite intolerable during dinner last night, demanding quite rudely to get some of MY food! She attempted to claw onto my lap several times and I had to threaten to smack her each time – the threat was enough, though. No actual contact was made. I don’t know what that is about, though – she’s got plenty of good food plus gets a daily treat! She’s neither starving nor is her food tasteless.

Since the kittens have discovered a route on to my bed, I now have to worry about rolling over one during the night! I’ve plucked the odd one out of my hair a couple of times last night. Fortunately they seem to still prefer to sleep UNDER my bed, rather than on it. Silver now sleeps on the bed, by my legs, as she did before the kittens were born – but Shadow was quite active, and noisy, with the kittens under the bed!

Rose mentioned that she can hear the cats romp at night – yeah, they may be graceful stalkers by day, but at night they turn into blustering elephants! And if she can hear them downstairs, through carpet, just think what it’s like for me, eh? And now the kittens have added my bed to their play-room ... ai, ai!

Well, tomorrow is my first Wednesday off! I’m trying to decide what I shall do with my new freedom – I’m torn between taking my old PC to the shop, or doing my Makro shopping tomorrow. Either involves spending money – which I’m not very keen on doing; but it’s for projects I’ve considered thoroughly, as in: can’t wait to start. So, I think the PC Shop first. They advertised an item, I’ve been hunting for years – hold thumbs I get lucky! It’s a missing link to a project I’ve been planning to start for literally years! If I manage to obtain that missing link, it will mean additional expenses – but then the project is a go!

I did own this item once before. I bought it together with a family-member, who used it first – but what I got ‘back’ was a cheap, useless imitation, not the original item we had purchased! I’m dying to mention names, grumble!

I also need to get some more tins of baby cat food – they are all eating quite well now. Last night I watched Tiger Tim have another go at the kibbles, they’ve got their first teeth, but I don’t think they can chew the kibbles quite yet.

So that’s a full day planned, eh? PC Shop, Makro, Vet. And then at home I still need to fill the drum.

Back at home, first feed the Mip Mips – started the last tin, so I definitely need to get more tomorrow. We took a lot of photos – at one stage Rose took one at the exact moment my flash went off and in that one all the kittens have flames rising off their heads! I wish I could get my mitts on that photo – it’s a real classic!

Later I got stuck into clearing up one of my backup hard drives, cleared a bit of space. Silver and Shadow are in rather a whimsical mood – wanting attention while at the same time not wanting me too close! Shadow decided later that I should just put my hand out, she’ll walk up and down alongside it using my hand to stroke her back! Later still I sat down on the bed with a cookie in my hand – and Silver went quite crazy over it! Seems like she, too, loves cookies! Only, when I looked a bit later still – she’d spat it out and left it. Sigh!

For myself, I’m feeling whimsical myself – in no mood for anything. Not dinner, not chocolate, not reading, not watching anything, just pfft! So I’m off to bed hoping for a better mood in the morning.
