Lock-down Day 678

 Early morning. Coffee. Work.

Load shedding is back! Stage 2. Starting at eleven this morning until five Monday morning! Here's my schedule:

Tonight 20:00 - 22:30

Tomorrow 04:00 - 06:30

So, no audiobook tonight. No episode to watch tonight. Better publish the blog before I go home. If I hurry, I might be able to shower (still have to wait for the geyser to heat up). Gas cooker for tomorrow's coffee.

Friday 04:00 - 06:30 and again 12:00 - 14:30. Again no audiobook through the night, and again gas cooker for Friday's morning coffee. I'll 'miss' the second load shedding, as I get home only around three.

Saturday 10:00 - 12:30 and again 18:00 - 20:30 Not too bad. Just need to rush the laundry and, if I'm baking cookies, have the dough ready before ten - I use a mixer to mix the fat & sugar. In the evening, well, I should probably avoid hard labour in the garden, as I'll only be able to bath very, very late. I'll keep the geyser on during the day, then, hopefully, I can take a low-water bath during the load shedding.

Sunday 18:00 - 20:30. Again, not too bad. But I'll have to time the bath again. And no audiobook during the night, because on

Monday 02:00 - 04:30 we get a last dose of load shedding.

Well, that's only the planned outages, of course. If there's a thunderstorm or a bird poops in the wrong place, the power will go out ... unplanned. Fun times ahead! Sigh ...

Back at home ... I watered, and cleaned the patch out back. No more. I had to get mippies in early - we usually sit until about half eight, but tonight, I'm racing against load shedding. Showered. Packed lunch. Fried dinner. It's quarter to eight ...
