I slept reasonably well, though I half woke when the power went on ... or was it when it went off? I'm not sure, I only remember waking once, though.
Mewthos insisted I get up early this morning. He comes sits on the bed and mewls in my face, but when I try to grab him, he moves out of my reach. Giving me no choice but to get up, if I want the mewling to end!
Load shedding is, once again, suspended. Obviously, because today we'll get the SONA - State of the Nation Address. Well, having heard the TRUE STATE, I don't know if I even want to hear this one ... Although, I think I had better. I remember a few years ago, when Zuma nonchalantly announced that nuclear power plants will be built, with the help of Russian experts ... and absolutely no word was breathed about that in the media, everyone was going on about the EFF shenanigans during his address. I was beginning to wonder whether I had imagined it, when nobody said a work for over a week ... and then suddenly everyone woke up.
Of course, there's always to possibility - with it being such an online event, that there could be some entertaining interruption, like that porn streaming during the council meeting a while back!
We had some thunder and lightning last night, but I didn't see any signs of rain.
Back at home, no trace of rain. I had few chores, so I could spend a little time in the garden. I keep flip-flopping between mowing the lawn and clearing weeds ... which to prioritise? Well, tonight, since I would only be able to shower after the SONA, I wasn't going to do hard labour. Weeding it was! I cleared another half bed - this time, a rose bed.
Now watching SONA ... not impressed. Not at all! I'll watch an episode of Columbo afterwards, just to clear the disgust out of my mind ...
