Something funny happened last night ...

I didn't get around to writing my blog last night. I did my usual coming in, letting zoom, zoom, zoom mippies out, feeding Tynx (she doesn't think her kitten sachet is good enough, she'll nibble, but she'll wait for her spoonful of mousse!), cleaning the litter boxes (still gushing about the wood fibers!), then sitting outside with my big mippies.

Back inside, fed them, cuddled, fed, then made my lunch, took out something for tomorrow night, fried my dinner ... I had switched on the PC, so I could have some episode in the background ...

And then I looked at Facebook. I had had a friend request from someone I didn't know a couple of days ago. This happens occasionally, and I just leave it for a while until I have time to check it out before deleting. For this one, I found messages! It turns out, she was life partner to one of the guys on the last project - and he just ... out of the blue, suddenly is totally unreachable to her! After over a decade? And it seems he turned 'funny' when he first came to Africa. From what she told me, the reason for trying any means to get hold of him is, because he left a lot of stuff at her place - including his car & motor bike - and, according to German law, she can neither throw it away nor sell it unless she has contacted him several times with requests / demands to vacate. And he is completely unreachable!

I also have no contact with him, but she's hoping I might be able to discover his whereabouts so that she has an address ... something. We chatted quite a bit, she seems a really level-headed, nice person.

I've been contacted like this before, once, when a wife (or, I suspect the daughter) wanted to find out about an affair or relationship at the site ... fortunately, I had no knowledge. I can't lie, I'm really no good at it and, of course, it's detrimental to my sobriety. That's why I don't want to know about a lot of private goings on on site. Some guys have commented on my lack of curiosity, as being unlike most women, ha ha! A normal woman doesn't move from city to city for work!

Anyway, time for the grindstone part of Friday now.
