Goodies!

Tynx - in addition to the morning licky wakey - now has me doing morning Yoga! She is fascinated by my cellphone, when it rings, i.e. the alarm goes off in the morning - and during every morning's investigation, it ends up on the floor. Behind or under the nightstand. So I have to stretch every morning to try and find, and then reach and grab it. This morning, it fell apart, so I also had to re-set the date & time! She IS a busy little girl!

At work today, my delivery arrive - with all the little one-of-each tasters I had ordered! The vegan droewors (dried sausage) turned out amazingly tasty! I'll definitely get some more! Oh, and the yummy chocolates? Didn't survive! I gave away 4 and had 2 myself, so that's 2 boxes empty.

In the afternoon, I received a phone call from one of the guys I had worked with years ago at my first site in Pretoria. We had a lovely chat - it's always good to hear from any of the guys! That first site was the best one ever, we worked hard but we also had a really wonderful social circle going! He's now site manager on the East London project.

At home, another relaxed evening. Well, after I had unpacked and packed everything away. Mippies came in without any trouble and they accept fewer treats also without any trouble.

I had taken out a steak for tonight's dinner, and I cut it in half so that I could eat it off my new salt dish. With the juice from the steak, I find that it does get quite salty - but for steak, that's perfect. I normally add only salt, or, when it's an especially good piece of meat, I treat myself with a layer of anchovies. So, I'm quite happy with my purchase!

I went to bed a bit late, as I was chatting - he he, I can get quite chatty. But I woke early enough to still have time for a few sips of coffee before going to work. I arrived on time.

To hear some tragic news: our cleaner, who had been off sick all week, passed away this morning! A young girl, in her early twenties, I would guess. I can not imagine what illness could take a young, strong girl in such a short time. My employee is devastated, she was great friends with her. And I feel so helpless, as the only thing I can offer is a hug.
