I woke up during the night, but managed to go right back to sleep. I still got up a bit later than usual and let mippies out. Made coffee - filter coffee. Then I turned on the PC.
On this blog, I got the reminder that I couldn't get the Spot-on! So, first thing, I need to resolve that issue - mippies must get their treatment. I ended up paying even more than I can afford, so I'll probably have to get some groceries on my credit card again. But I got 6 treatments, not 4 - that's why I ended up paying more. I tried paying by credit card, but that payment wouldn't go through ... Ai, ai, ai, what a mission, eh?
Well, load shedding has been reduced to Stage 1 from ten last night. Since we have nothing scheduled for today (we already had our turn from 2-4 this morning), it makes no difference. It does, however, make a difference tomorrow - instead of twice, we'll only have our power off once. From ten to noon tomorrow. But nothing from 2-4 again tomorrow morning, so I can leave the PC on overnight.
I also forgot to take the cat food out of the boot yesterday. And I left the key in the door! That's not good - not safe. Even though it's locked and the key is on the inside.
And then Smeagol attacked Mini! Cornered her in the section under the Jacaranda tree ... when I got there, he's sitting with black fur in his mouth looking at me all 'what? What did I do?' I chased him as far as I could - sorry, boy, but that's not cool! I'll have to keep an eye on Mini, in case Smeagol really hurt her!
Washing is in the machine, I've put the geyser on, so I can clean the kitchen.
I'm also still thinking ... the 'problem' with me making extra income is simply that I'm the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none personality. I get all obsessive about one thing, but eventually I loose interest and move on to something else. I have no monomania, ha ha ha!
Anyway. Just past eleven and the kitchen is clean. I just still need to hang up the washing. Load shedding will be suspended at noon - so nothing tomorrow.
Mini is definitely injured. She growls when I touch one side, and she's limping. I can't take a close look at the moment. Going to have to keep a close eye on her.
She's curled up on my bed, as usual. A bit wary, when I come near, though.
And for myself, I've cleared the desk in the lounge and swept the house. Next, I'll have to try and pull that desk away from the wall - I'm a bit worried, it's become rather rickety after all the mishandling every time I moved. I'll have a look to see whether I can do anything about that.
I just want a place where I can tinker. Or craft. Or whatever I want to play or experiment with.
Going on three and I'm still not finished with the desk. I've cleaned the floor and skirting, treated and sprayed the skirting. I've scrubbed the back, top and one side of the desk. Next, I'm going to have to crawl under it to scrub everything I can't reach from any side. And tighten the screws on the brackets that a colleague fitted years ago in East London.
Yeah, that didn't work out. I can't tighten the screws. They are fitted in such a way, there's a nut that keeps it tight (or at least, that would be my guess), which cannot be reached. Great, eh? Typical! Ah, well.
I really feel awesome about having my desk available to tinker! I've put off a lot of things, or did a crap job, simply because I had no space. Which is a really silly excuse, but well ...
Now I'm trying to decide what I should do first, ha ha!
The next step will be to store all my tinker-goods properly. With the garage empty, I decided to store everything at the back. I'm now just waiting for the broom, so I can clean the garage first.
Good news! Broom, etc. is due to be delivered on Monday! Once I've swept the garage, I can start packing my hoard - I'm thinking of separating the different plastic bottles. A box for glass, a box for odd shape plastic. And then I can also take a lot of stuff out of the various rooms, where I've been stashing goods.
Anyway, when I finished, there was still time so I went to carry on clearing the back section. The main motivation was to make space for the one Nasturtium I saw trying to grow there ... guess what? Sigh, I accidentally pulled it out! I could kick myself! I plonked it back into soil ... lets hope! I'm also thinking of taking all the Nasturtiums growing in my tomato bed out and re-planting them out back there. I'll need to loosen the ground, though.
Well, tomorrow I just have to bake bread and make stew. I'd also like to clean the kitchen again.
Mippies came in early - Mini didn't even go out, though. I was a bit worried, but she came to get her treat. Now she's on my armchair. With Mewthos.

There! That's my clean and cleared desk!
And here's Mini back on the bed ... I think I'll spend some time with her ...
