I got up after two, again. And by seven, Mewthos was getting impatient with me, since I - naturally - struggled to get up!
It's freezing cold! At least 10 degrees colder than yesterday morning! I'm continuously warming up with coffee ... which has a very short-term rental, so I'm equally continuously trotting from kitchen to bathroom!
Then I carried on backing up my files. Finished the C-drive, now I'm re-sorting all the backups of backups I've made on the 5Tb Drive ... backups of flash sticks, laptop, etc. Sheez, I'm a really bad hoarder! I really need to make some time to sort through this ... some things, I'm absolutely positive, are duplicated in various folders! Trying to have ONLY 2 copies of everything is proving to be trickier than having AT LEAST 2 copies of everything! Ha Ha!
Some of it, will have to be just 1 copy for the time being - until I get the replacement hard drive.
Well, that's my morning. Now I'm starting my Sunday chores.
Twenty to four, oven is warming up to bake my bread rolls and apple pie. I'm trying the new baking sheet - so far, I'm not impressed. And I doubt whether it'll really be non-stick. Anyway, I had better wash the dishes again ...
Yeah, I'm not washing the rug, after all ... it'll have to wait until next week.
Five o'clock and I'm done! Even did a wee bit of plant care - can't really call it gardening. I planted the Celery I had growing in the kitchen, which had produced roots, in a bottle. And guess what? Remember how I decided to start watering all bottles again? Well, it paid off! Looks like I have two lemon trees growing, as well! Oh, and grass and weeds growing strong in the first rose bed I cleared ... Sigh ... Well, the beans and peas are doing great!
I fear I'm going to have a problem with all the seedlings. They seem to be doing really well now - but there are far too many of them. I need to thin them out ... just ... how? They're so tiny! Can't pick them out by hand - I'd need tweezers ... and I can't actually pull them out, I need to trim them. Again: how? Yeah ... I'll probably just take a chance and will see what happens. If they die, I'll re-sow, but much fewer seeds.
Aaaand, I'm a bit miffed at Mini! I had wondered why my gloves seemed to be leaking - they're not yet that old. Turns out, Mini helps herself to Ziva's left-overs and then claws at the gloves to cover the bowl! Yeah, she does that with her bowl, too, when she's had enough - I don't know why. But now she's taken to clawing at my dish-washing gloves! I'm afraid the new pair I just opened yesterday, is now also leaking ... grrr
Ah, well ...
