Followed my plan last night. Turns out my mippies also enjoy the chicken livers and hearts mush - happy to give it to them, too!
And the ferals? Sheez, they are gobbling more and more! Well, it's the kittens, they're growing up, and eating more. Normally, I give them 4 handfuls of food in the morning and another 4 handfuls in the evening. Last night they finished the 4 handfuls and demanded more! I can't keep this up ...
I went to bed somewhat late, and couldn't get to sleep right away, either. Then, I woke up around half past two ... and couldn't get back to sleep till past four - load shedding!
Still, I had coffee, fed the ferals, drove to work ... got there around eight.
Quarter to three and it's raining cats and dogs! So far no messages about a power outage ... hold thumbs!
Load shedding yet again from 18:00 - 20:30. Last time in this time slot! Tomorrow we start at midnight for 2 hours, then at 08:00 - 10:30 and lastly 16:00 - 18:30. But that also means load shedding along the road - on the way home today, and on the way to work tomorrow. Sigh ...
Tonight, I just want to cook myself dinner. I ate it late, cold, last night. Probably same again tonight. I hope I won't have trouble sleeping, again.
I'm thinking of writing 'The Story of Smeagol'. How I first noticed him, when I went to look at this house, how he kept searching my house, after I had moved in, how he craves lovies - while at the same time being wary of humans. How he first tried to get rid of my mippies, to re-claim his territory, then mellowed towards them - with only occasional attacks. And how he then decided, since he can't join my society, to found his own - by bringing lonely females into MY garden, for me to feed and for him to hump! It's like he's running a cat rescue operation!
Cat food arrived! That's Ziva's special food and the new, cheap wet treats ...
I'm trying to do my weekend plan, only, I'm coming up with way more that I'd like to do than there is weekend to do everything in, ha ha!
I'm thinking of trying a recipe for whole-wheat pancakes that I found in my collection. Just mix 250gr flour, baking powder, 2 eggs, 500ml water, 250ml milk, 50ml oil and 12,5ml vinegar ... vinegar? Really? Hmmm ... well, mix flour and baking powder, beat all the liquids with the eggs then blend with the flour. Leave to stand for at least an hour ... then fry pancakes.
Ah! Almost five, so I'd better publish!
Hang on, though, let me first put down the other idea: making a type of paella. Steam rice and chicken, later fry with plain yoghurt mixed with instant mushroom soup. Of course, that all depends on what meat I get tomorrow ...
