Lock-down Day 381

I've been up since four this morning! Which drove mippies crazy, ha ha! I usually open the patio door for them to go out, as soon as I get up - they don't understand why I'm not doing that today? Well, it's still dark at four and I don't want Mewthos out in the dark! So, that drove them crazy, which they - naturally - passed on to me! Mip mip, zoom, zoom, mip, mip, paw, paw, mip, mip, MIP!

So, why up so early? In a nutshell: Work! Mind buzzing ...

One of my readers asked me last night, what was wrong, as I seemed down. And that kind of opened some flood-gates ...

Yes, there are areas in my life I keep out of this blog. Worries, fears, problems, issues ... mostly the really negative - or futile - things. Some of you interact with me, whether via Facebook chat, e-mail or now WhatsApp - and you already know some of it.

Anyway, what would have taken a few minutes to read, took me a couple of hours to work out. It's half past noon, I better get cracking!

Just going on three, and my bread dough is done, just rising now, then I can bake it. And my Goulash is simmering ...

I went to start cutting my tobacco leaves and found a grasshopper resting on a leaf! Remember how, during the hard lock-down, when cigarettes were illegal, we procured tobacco under the guise of 'kriekgif' (= cricket poison)? Grasshopper, cricket ... they're very much alike, so I posted this photo:

With the comment: "Can someone please help? What am I doing wrong? It appears that my cricket poison isn't working at all..."

Not quite four, tobacco is cut, bread in the oven, potatoes added to the goulash ...

Twenty past six, mippies inside, treated ... aaaand mewling for more!

A neighbour came to visit with her daughter! Lovely! They're currently looking after our other neighbours animals - the one who wants to lodge here. They've given me a lot of food for thought ...

Goulash is ready, I've added greens as well now. I'm just letting a bowl cool now ... bread is also ready, still need to pack my lunch, though.

Done. No seedling photo's though ... and the goulash is still cooling down ...
