Relatively early morning, coffee ... still got a bit of the headache, but a lot milder! Phew! That's a good start, at least.
Internet isn't making much of an effort - it took about three attempts to get just to this page. No chance of opening anything else.
It's still overcast with a high chance of rain this morning. I was reading The Gardener yesterday, and they suggest February is a good month to plant trees and to start Brussels Sprouts. Although I got nothing off my last attempt, I'd like to try again.
But first: kitchen duty! Or should I say: baking chores. The items on today's agenda: bread rolls, cookies and chicken! Everything is prepared, dough is in progress ... headache is still there, and it's not getting better. Lovely, eh?
And guess what? I just turned on the oven, and while I was waiting for it to heat up ... bam! Power off! Well, it could have been worse. It could have gone off halfway through baking ... still, it's a nuisance!
Reported it. Washed the dishes. Folded and packed away the laundry. Cleaned the litter boxes. Now what?
Well, I pulled some more of that crap out of the 'lawn'. Two and a half hours later, power comes back! Yay! Better get my baking done!
While I was outside, I kept thinking of the best way to get that entire garden in shape. Reviewing what I have done, what results that has produced, what can I do better?
On the whole, I'd say that whenever I can, I should prioritise anything that will reduce the amount of time and effort I need to put into the weekly mowing! Like today, since it rained AND it was overcast, I could pull the though stuff out, anywhere I chose. I think I've cleared a nice area - I should actually notice a difference on Friday!
But it takes not just rain, but also being overcast while I work. Otherwise, I have to either carry the gazebo out - and since I can only work a few hours a day, well, not worth the effort of carting the gazebo around.
Anyway, I'm done for today. Mippies are in, treated. I've showered, dined - not shared, for a change. Now I just want to sit back, relax, cuddle, watch an episode ...
