Guess who treated herself to Sushi? That’s right! The
little piggy with Soy sauce splashed across the front of her white shirt! Ai ai
that should teach me, eh? Nah! I enjoyed it!
Our gardener is here today and he’s weeding the new
bed along the back, where Rose planted all excess geraniums, some lilies, etc.
The upstairs neighbours are filthy! They throw their rubbish out the window and
I’m forever picking up cigarette butts and empty packets in MY garden!
Fortunately the worst of their rubbish stays on their side – and I’ve blocked
the rain-drain, so my mippies can’t go visiting and possibly cut their paws on
broken glass!
I was putting away some groceries in my spare bedroom
– don’t ask me how, but suddenly both Mippies were busily investigating the
mystery room (since I keep the door closed)! I took advantage and distracted
them with a treat, so I could sneak out to get some groceries.
I meant to get some proper bread and electricity, so I
drove all the way out to Sunridge … only to find that the shelf was empty!
Apparently they only start planning to bake bread after the last one is taken
off the shelf! They had some Chia bread though, so I decided to try that. I had
the same luck with the electricity: None to be had! Well, I got some milk and
salads.
The rest of the day is just playing online and daily
chores. I also cleaned the litter box again – I don’t need to do that so often
anymore, since they all go outside during the day. I’ve started sprinkling some
flea-powder at the bottom, every time I clean it, since I kept seeing fleas
hopping leisurely around the sand. Bleach cleaning didn’t help, next time I
looked: happy hopping fleas! The flea powder, however, has worked. I’ve also
started sprinkling bicarbonate of soda in the box, just before I add the clean
sand. It definitely helps keep the pong down.
I decided to take a walk through the garden – what a
pleasure! Our gardener has done a great job cleaning up the new bed along the
back wall! It’s looking lovely now! I took a walk along our rockery – the
geraniums are in bloom, it’s a carpet of colours: white, orange, pink, mauve!
Further along towards the gate there are Vieruurtjies sprouting and growing
everywhere – and the cherry tomato plant is back! The succulents Rose planted
are doing well, the geraniums are in bloom, there’s even a Nasturtium growing!
I left Lady Jane playing peek-a-boo along the wall
with Ziva sitting on the rockery watching her. When I was back upstairs and
called – both immediately came bounding across the lawn at full speed! Mewthos
was already by my feet!
