Busy Sunday

Earl’s adoptive mom came online the evening of the Mip Mips birthday and sent me photos of Earl!  He’s doing well and being spoiled as much as my Mippies!

If it wasn't for the 'long sleeve' you could think this was Lady Jane!

Happy as can be! Master Earl Grey :)

Here, also some more photos of Lizzy – she’s grown a lot, and is bigger than Lady Jany & Earl, but not quite as big as Mew-Mew.

A short rest during a busy day

That look of adoration! It's quite evident how she feels about her adoptive mommy!

And just to complete my cat-collection, here the only good photo I have of my Mynx.

He didn't have a single white hair! Pitch black from nose to tail!
And you can see he's happy here - because his eyes are green :)
When he's unhappy, they would be yellow
On the subject of cats: poor Romeo worries me a great deal. I wonder how such a heart of gold could become so injured that he fears what he craves: Lovies! He comes to me, crying – yet at the same time, he fears my hand coming to stroke him. Then, when I touch him, he flops down in ecstasy – and grabs by hand to hold on tight! Only: he hasn’t learned to moderate his claws completely – he does his best, but he still goes through the skin. I say ‘Ow’ – not loud, nor with real pain, but even that little sound to let him know he’s hurting me, distresses him terribly!

He must have had a home – no feral cat would crave human contact as much as he does. And he has such a big heart! To dedicate so much time and energy to helping poor sight-impaired Snoopy, I’m certain he risked his life in an attempt to save Snoopy – that chunk he was missing from his tail at the same time Snoopy disappeared speaks volumes! Yet, he still rarely rests indoors. He’ll come in, but rarely settles down here to nap or even stay. And he is such a beautiful ginger!

Ah well.

Rose went to a Hippie-themed breakfast party yesterday – she put a lot of time and effort into her costume! Doesn’t she look just perfect?

A short while back, I went to the Continental butchery and stocked up on some proper ‘Aufschnitt’ (which is a type of cold meat). I’m afraid that butchery is going down-hill – as far as german meat is concerned! It’s best to just get the baby-rolls of Aufschnitt – they make the big ones, which they’ll slice, as well as miniature ones, which one can buy whole. The staff don’t have the skill to properly slice the cold meats – it’s all frazzled at the bottom. And they can’t slice it properly thin – only thick slices. So you’re better off buying a mini-roll and slice it yourself. The sweet mustard is also rubbish – it’s a sauce rather than a spread. You can pour it over your meat – but you can’t smear it on!

Anway, I got all that meat and took the time to re-pack and freeze it. Only … yeah, I packed the top drawer a bit too full; and I couldn’t open it! There was frost on the top, from the ‘ceiling’ against which the meat wedged tight! Of course, I only realized that, when I wanted to take out some meat for dinner – ha ha ha!

There was nothing I could do about it, but at least nothing was going off. Next time I went to Makro, I bought myself a new cooler bag – the one I had got taken as a carry-all by the robbers. I had got some more meat for dinner, in the meantime, so once I had the cooler bag, I had to wait until that meat was finished, too. So, today I packed everything I could into the cooler bag and defrosted the freezer! It wasn’t a hot day, so almost everything stayed frozen – with a few exceptions: I had smoked salmon for breakfast, and for dinner tonight, I’ll be making a pork chop with prawns and crab sticks! Ha Ha!

The Mips were highly intrigued to see the magic door open! They had to investigate thoroughly! Mewthos, of course, was more interested in the water dripping inside – he has a fascination with ‘where does water come from?’! Whether it’s the toilet flushing, or me filling a watering can or watering the garden from the can – it’s all fascinating! Small wonder he was the one to fall into the toilet!

You can see the top drawer still stuck :)
Lady Jane considered climbing in - but all that wet!
Mewthos is fascinated by the dripping water
In other news, the mippies all wish that I would spend all day with them – come out with them in the morning, to play in the garden, and play with them all day long! Oh, did I call that news? My mistakes – he he, it’s what they always wish, more like the story of our lives! They drive me insane with their constant desire for attention!

I no longer have any trouble getting them inside for the night, though. Even Ziva comes when I call! Mewthos can always be bribed with ‘munchies’ – lol say the word in his presence and he gets excited and rushes to the ‘treat’ cupboard! But I’m repeating myself … well, now yo know why I’ve been ‘silent’ for such a long time. There really isn’t anything happening in my life, that’s worth writing about. Well, nothing I’m willing to publish, at least.

Regarding my online game, Elvenar, things are falling into place beautifully! There has been some ugly drama in the big fellowship, and we lost even more members as a result … sigh. I could not believe two so-called adults behaving in this manner – and all about a game! Well, the ‘big’ fellowship is down to 11 active participants – out of 25! So the entire fellowship rides on the hope that the newcomers will grow and join fast! No pressure! LOL! I’ve just had a major clear-out in the newcomer fellowship, and been on an equally major recruitment drive; and a lot of the new members show a great deal of potential! Those, who have joined the big fellowship already, are the life-blood of that fellowship! They’re the only ones chatting regularly, happy to play, doing their best in all aspects – not just for their own cities, but for the whole fellowship!

I’m still spending most of my day in the game – not just playing, but a lot of chatting! Sometimes about the game, sharing experience and sometimes just chatting!
Lady Jane loves to climb the scratcher!

Every breath you take, every move you make,
I'll be watching you!

They all love to play with my laundry-hamper - see how they've torn it everywhere?
Mewthos climbed inside for a nap, today!

Lady Jane looked too cute for words!

For some reason they love to all snuggle together on the chair sometimes
At other times, they each choose a different place

Seeing him hold his damaged paw still breaks my heart every time
even though he doesn't show any signs of pain or even discomfort

Happiness!
