Saturday, so guess what? Early morning! Got a few nice
photos of the sunrise.
Shopping was interrupted by natural causes – don’t
ask! So I didn’t dare go far for the compost I needed. The rest of the day I
spent in the garden. First I dug and turned the sand in the empty bed – you
will not believe what I found: Plastic bags, rusted nails, some large bright
orange piece of plastic, a couple of bones (chicken, I hope), a piece of pipe –
and some strange kind of bulb-like root.
While I was working something was tickling my
shoulder, I thought it was a fly and kept shrugging my shoulder to sjoe it
away. Then, when I bent forward a baby lizard jumped off my shoulder onto my
knee! How adorable! It wandered around along my leg for a while before deciding
to jump off onto the lawn.
After mixing three bags of compost into the sand I
took some plants out of the planter and planted them in the bed. Good plan?
Well, at least I’ve opened up some room to breathe in the planter.

Oh, and
before I forget, here’s a picture of the yellow flower, all pretty and mostly
open.
And then it started getting dark, with a beautiful
full moon playing peekabo with the clouds.
The next picture is a light-show: In the bottom left
corner is a lighted ship, then bottom right the moonlight on the ocean, above
the spot of light is a plane going by and top right the moon!
I tried to catch the full beauty of the moonlight on
the ocean.
