Yeah ... that didn't end well. I woke up after five when the UPS was crying again. If the power had come on at five, or shortly after, no problem. But it only came on twenty five past.
Ah, well. I got up made myself coffee and sat down to think. Mippies, of course, started crowding around for cuddles, which they got. Funny thing, they'll come lie at my feet, or Ziva will be on the Ottoman, but only Janey occasionally strolls onto my lap. With all that chocolate I stress-eat - surely my lap can't be too bony anymore?
About Ninapark ... I decided this morning that I have enough work with the shopping I did yesterday. I mean the apple pie, and I've also got some other veggies ... better not add more deadline work this weekend.
Well, it's been raining here in Rosslyn, I'm guessing we've had rain at home, too. Bit of a problem, as the grass is growing ... and if it's wet, I can't mow! Wet and rainy weekend predicted ... well ... should be fun, eh?
Anyway ... almost time to go home! Yay!
Onderstepoort butchery finally has beef! Yay! I got 1 1/2 kg chuck! I'll cut it into strips and fry that! Nice!
As I feared, it had rained here. Big time! 18mm, according to my gauge! Mowing is out, so ... I decided this would be a good time to clean the bed out back. The one with all the cacti and succulents in the built bed.
I started by finishing around the back, behind the outside room, and then brought out the fork and dug into that bed. I managed to get loads of creepers out! Plenty of thick, long root bulbs, too! You can't see much difference, but man, I filled the pot several times!
I'll have to find time to mow the lawn sometime this weekend, though ...
