Lock-down Day 409

I resisted the cat alarms as long as I could, and the longer I resisted, the harder they tried! Well, they're out and about now ... mostly. They've been back for cuddles, Janey is sitting here right now ... but I've had a bit of peace.

I've used the time to get out the winter, feather duvet and find some long sleeved tops - which I'm now washing.

Last night, just after I published, I turned around and found this:

Mewthos loves all his ladies, last night it was Ziva's special turn! She washed him thoroughly, he washed her right back and then they curled up, with Mewthos' arm around Ziva!

Right now, Mewthos is missing ... it's ten in the morning, so there's no real reason to worry ... yet, I do!

I think I'll get myself busy in the kitchen ...

And here's Mewthos! Smug and fat outside the back door, with a look that seems to say 'I hear you're looking for me? Well?' Ha Ha!

I went and hung the laundry, and of course, THAT is when Mewthos wants attention! NOW! Sorry, boy, mommy busy! When I was done, though, I sought him out, sat on the driveway and gave him lots and lots of attention! He's happy now, it's an hour later and I can finally get started in the kitchen!

Right, dinner - or should I say: the week's lunch - is in the oven. I've cut the meat into bite sized pieces, coated them with flour and spices, braised that, added carrots and the red cabbage (both cut into small bits) - and then the pan was full! No room for my potatoes! Sigh ... well, I covered the lot and put it in the oven.

Ziva's tail wound is looking better! I should probably continue to put ointment on until it's completely healed ...

Done. It feels better, too. Finally drying, not open anymore.

Bread rolls are a bit of a mess. Oh, not bad, just ... the dough is too moist, so trying to handle them ... very messy. I just plopped separate blobs onto the tray. I don't think their shape is going to bother me much, when I eat them ...

Half four and I'm done. Well, I still need to pack my lunch for tomorrow - once it's cooled down. I've even washed all dishes! I deserve chocolate ... I'm so tired, I wish I could take a nap ... no, not so much exhausted. I haven't done much - especially when you compare it to my normal gardening. Not sure why I'm so exhausted ... but I am.

Ziva has crawled into her hidey-hole! She was very happy to find blankies in there! She's stretched out for a nap in there, now!

Dinner is delicious! Only: the recipe is crap! Their times were way off - I had to bake it another hour on a higher temperature, before the meat was edible. And the cauliflower? I guess they recommend you throw half away and eat only the little flower tops! I'm sorry, but I don't buy vegetables for a compost heap - I buy them to eat!

Anyway, it's going on five, now ... I'm just waiting for Mewthos to decide it's time to come in, then a lovely bath, and then ... a nap that'll last all night! I really am quite tired ...
