Lock-down Day 406

Not quite as early as yesterday, but still time for a relaxed coffee before work.

I just got a message that Earl (now called Charlie) somehow managed to get himself injured! That's Lady Jane's twin brother. He's been to the vet and got stitches. The photo looks quite gruesome, an open wound always does.

I remember when he was still small, he managed to dash out between Rose's legs, as she was leaving and dashed down the stairs, and was halfway to the road before Ziva and Shadow managed to corner him! That look on his face, so proud of how far he got! Just playing, just having fun - nothing defiant or mean about it. But yeah, that kind of thing is how cats get injured. So confident that 'mommy can fix anything'.

I'm a little stunned, I posted that photo of Janey and Mewthos, with their tails entwined, in a cat Facebook group and it's got over 400 likes! And the weirdest thing: some people are sharing my photo? What the feck for? I mean, it's not a meme, it's a photo! Of MY cats! Why would anyone want to share that on their timeline? Weirdos!

Back at home, I'm a little worried about Ziva's tail. What looked like nothing more than a large scratch mark two weeks ago, is now looking worse! It looks like an open wound - no bleeding, though! I've just grabbed her and cleaned it ... which I gather hurts her!?! It's not a stinging wound cleaner ... so it must be the touch, that hurts? I'm not sure what to make of it ... I'll keep cleaning it once a day, for now. See if that helps. Not sure what else I CAN do?

She's also not happy about not getting any Whiskas ... and the others would so like HER special food! It's going to take a while to sell this new food routine to the lot of them ...

Well, I'm mentally exhausted ... time to turn off my brain ...
