Mippies patiently waited for me to get up and let them out, then went on an extended walk! Janey was the first one back, wanting lovies, followed by Mewthos.
I had quite a lot of cuddling to do last night. After I logged off last night, Ziva played hard-to-get - sitting next to the bed, looking at me with big eyes, but not moving! So I picked her up and stuffed her under the duvet - like you'd stuff dirty clothes into a duffel bag! Ha Ha! More ear scratching and then she was happy and left. She went to give Mewthos a wash ... and Mini came for her dose of cuddles! She paws and claws to get under the duvet - but she's learning about claws. She finally settled on my chest and I scratched her chin, tickled her tummy and gave her lots of cuddles. Janey looked on from the arm chair ... so when Mini was happy, I went and grabbed Janey and tickled her tummy! She finally settled down with Mewthos - who, by now, had his arms around Ziva - and I continued to tickle her tummy, while she looked into my eyes all happy and lovey!
This morning, however, they ran off at top speed! I had plenty of time to myself, and chose to spend some time playing my game again. Then the internet went wonky again, so I swept and washed the floors. And what do you think mippies did, as I'm busy washing the floors? Yeah! They brought in a mouse! Chasing it everywhere I'm trying to wash! Sigh!
I finished washing the floors and then took a nice long shower, after which I trimmed and shaped my nails ... they were splitting and hooking on everything. It's not even noon, and all I still need to do is make food! Bread and today's meal.
I've taken it easy, mixed the ingredients for wholewheat bread, the machine is busy turning them into dough, now. I've turned on the stew, added rice, the last of the tomatoes and will add frozen veggies soon. I've chopped all the small bits of tobacco - it's drying on a paper towel now.
The dough rose beautifully, to my great relief! I've been having trouble with dough rising, lately. When I started placing Salami slices inside buns, I realised that I had 8, not 6 slices. So, instead of forming round buns, I took off just enough for one bun, rolled it flat and then folded it over a slice of salami. Then I squished off excess dough and added it to the next patty. I made flat patties, instead of buns. And the left-over dough I shaped into a bread, which I'm baking for At.
Dinner was delicious, and there's still enough left over for tomorrow night. I thought the cigarette papers were already finished, but it was just a marker - probably half-way. If it had been finished, they would have been too expensive for me - so I made more tubes. A dozen, enough to get through tomorrow. I've had enough practice making those, so it goes quite fast, now, so I don't worry about having to make more during the week. But I want to see what the filters cost and look like, first. And how many are in a pack. Either way, I've put one in the car, for the road.
Mippies came in without any trouble, and they cleaned their bowls thoroughly! Three times! So, I went online and ordered more ...
I had taken the refuse out, because the mouse and pigeon were in there ... and guess what? Mini has brought another pigeon and another mouse! Honestly, I don't know how to deal with that. It's getting too much!
And the pigeons seem to have moved or left their nest outside my front door. I don't blame them ... I haven't seen even one all weekend! And they are always sitting and staring at me when I come outside. Pity, but good for them!
Well, everything that needed doing is done - AND I've even had relaxation time this weekend! Living again! Feels like I'm finally getting somewhere!
Anyway, I want to spend some time scratching, tickling and cuddling my mippies ... so, off to bed for me ...
