Monday

Smeagol hasn't been around for a couple of days, again. This morning, on the way to work, there was a black and white cat on the side of the road ... It was a few kms from home, so I don't think it was Smeagol ... I don't think he wanders that far. Still ... poor kitty!

I'm sure Smeagol will come strolling in again one of these days ... he usually does. And then attacks a mippie ...

Back to the here-and-now.

Oh, just received a message that my delivery will arrive tomorrow! It was scheduled for the 10th - next week Wednesday. Nice! Oh, and I see what happened with the item that delayed the order ... wrong item! My mistake ... I ended up paying more. Sheez you really need half a masters degree just to get things right on that site! Such a lot of traps! Well, another lesson learned!

Oh, and I see that the mower has gone up again! Still at a discount, but not as cheap as I got it! Seems I bought it at just the right time!

I long for the days when ethics played a major role in the retail industry! Or any industry, actually ... Ah well, got to move with the times.

No wonder I feel out of place in these times, eh?

Anyway ... almost time to go home. Yay! My mippies always make me feel welcome and loved - not at all out of place, ha ha!

On the way home, just a km from home, traffic is stopped by a guy in a camouflage jacket waving a red flag! No, I'm not kidding. The reason was, that one farmer decided that rush hour is the best time to attempt to move one of those huge field sprinkler systems across the road! They were off to a good start, then a fence pole was in the way ... so they dug that out ... then the tail end was behind another fence pole, so they brought a caterpillar to dig that out, as well! The whole affair took about ten minutes.

Back at home, as I'm busy with my chores I hear a cat fight out back ... I saw the tail end of Smeagol running off ... and feared for Janey! Who was safely atop my bookshelf! I don't know who he was fighting - but it wasn't one of my mippies!

My stew this week is absolutely awesome! I added the three slices of pork shanks - and they are particularly nice! It never occurred to me to make Eisbein in slices, rather than whole! Although, the basic recipe I used on this stew was Goulash - since that's what the majority of the meat was.

Anyway, Janey is on my lap again ... so I'm ready to curl up in bed and call it a day ...
