The power went out sometime before midnight - oh, it came back on shortly ... but my PC, of course, had shut down. And my mind went off on a tangent ... obsessing. I got up, and put my audiobook back on, so I could focus on that to go back to sleep.
In the early morning, I had the most awful dream, where Mewthos got run over right before my eyes, breaking his back. Fortunately Tynx started licking my face and woke me up at that point. Mewthos was nearby, too, so I grabbed him and cuddled him until he couldn't stand it anymore and wriggled free!
Not much to tell about work, except that I brought At some cheese! He loves cheese and I've shared my lunches with him occasionally - so now he has his very own batch of cheese.
At home, I got a couple of chores done, but mostly I sat outside or watered the garden. I'm always happy when I can water my garden - the new seeds really need to be kept moist; but I'm afraid they do dry out during the day. The mini butternuts, I'm afraid, have turned brown, so they won't be growing. I am seeing some bits of green poking through on most of the new flower beds!
Along the east fence, I don't see any of the seeds making an effort. I still have the same number of bulbs and only cosmos are coming up in that bed. Well, I didn't dig the ground very deep and didn't mix all that much compost into it. Maybe next year. For now, I'm quite happy to see some bulbs growing lots of thick, strong leaves.
Inside, I had a large load of dishes to wash - mostly from the baking, the bread tray, bread machine, pizza tray and the board I use. I didn't feel up to that whole lot - and then I told myself: I don't have to do all of it, as long as I wash more than I use in a day, I'll be getting ahead. When I'd had enough, only the pizza and the bread stuff were left, which I can wash Tuesday night.
I went to bed around nine and woke around midnight again.I'm not sure why. I got up, had some milk - and had to give mippies some milkies, too, of course - and went back to bed. When I woke up this morning, my audiobook had stopped. I guessed that the power must have gone out again during the night ... I was wrong! When I sat down with my coffee, I found, to my surprise, that the PC was still on! Sigh ... turns out mippies took a stroll across the keyboard during the night.
And now it's Tuesday morning, I'm at work ... so, I guess, I should work.
