Both Mewthos and Ziva were being a serious nuisance the
other night! They want their treats earlier every night, and I’m not having it.
So I dosed them with catnip! Happy kitties! Only Lady Jane is not overly keen
on it – she is puzzled by Mewthos’ & Ziva’s obvious enjoyment!
The next morning, Frankie, Rose’s tomcat came for
another visit – he does that lately! Comes upstairs, looks around, nibbles a
bit on the food (he now gets the same food at home!) then inspects the flat
until he decides to meander back out. This time, however, he didn’t even get to
the food bowl – instead, he smelled the catnip and started licking the carpet
and rolling around in it (where I had put the catnip for Ziva – Mewthos licks
it off my palm!)! I took some photos and showed them to Rose – she couldn’t
believe her eyes! So I gave her some dried catnip and she told me both Frankie
and Shadow go wild for it He He.
I didn’t do much today. The washing won’t be dry until
tomorrow – and it’ll be a bit stiff, I’m afraid. So I have to wait another day
to wear my comfy new leggings! Ah, well.
I cleaned out the filter of the washing machine, with
Mewthos’ … well, it’s not exactly help, is it? He inspected the water which
came out of the machine, while I was mopping it up. Gave it a taste-test as
well, but it wasn’t to his liking. Of course he put his paws in the water –
leaving water paw prints all over the kitchen. And finally he decided to settle
down on my back, while I was working hunched over like that! Yeah, that’s still
weird – anytime I’m bent over, some cat decides to get on my back!
Funny thing, though, the filter wasn’t really full? A
bit of lint, some pieces of plastic – but not enough to clog anything. Sigh – I
just hope there’s no serious problem. With the stands both still full of drying
laundry, I didn’t take a chance on washing a load today. I’ll do that tomorrow,
see what happens.
Oh, and I’ve started placing a weekly order of
biscuits – Rose’s daughter makes them. It’s her business, she sells them to
various cafe's, schools, etc. They are to die for! I’ve tried three types so
far, and each is absolutely delicious!
Well, with the Fellowship thing, I’m working towards
spreading the workload – getting fellows to volunteer for some of the
monitoring needed to keep an active, competitive team. The more people get to
see what happens behind the scenes, the less they’ll gripe about how it should
be, in their opinion. The majority want to follow a strategy which will be
disadvantageous to some players – and I strongly disagree with it. I’ve tried
explaining my point, but that isn’t being heard. So I offered to go along with
it and suddenly it’s whoa! Not so fast! Ha Ha! Well, I figure if the biggest
mouths get a responsibility – and get a feel of just how little co-operation
one gets – that should spread the understanding a bit! I’ll set a goal – and everyone
does their own thing. So, if others also start FEELING that, and others also
set goals and it’s no longer just me – that will also take the ‘dictator’ perception
off the table.
