Cat Plants

While Mewthos and Ziva had settled themselves in the lounge, Lady Jane came to bed for an intensive cuddle session! She is so … needy! Sigh, it’s very sweet but a little exasperating as well.

I slept ok, though I was up a couple of times. Mewthos had waited long enough and made sure I got up around seven. Also in time for shopping. Sigh.

I’m trying to get some morning-alone time, on the one seat where I should be left alone. Yeah. Nope. Mewthos has other ideas. He will not take no for an answer and eventually climbs on top of my magazine! I have the three most cuddle-demanding cats in the universe!

I have some trouble convincing Lady Jane to stay inside, so I can get the monthly macro groceries. I got lucky, they had the correct cat food at lower prices, so I got another 3x kitty and 2x adult bags. I also bought a bulk of mixed fish sachets – though unfortunately in jelly. They didn’t have ‘In Gravy’. It’ll have to do.

Next I get to Sunridge Spar – a lot nicer than Newton. They have a nice variety of fruit and veg salads, so I get three. I also decide to treat myself to a smoothie and a Boboti Vetkoek. I’ll give one of their breads a try, see how that compares. On a whim I also select two flowery stick-on gift bows for the scratcher – I wonder if Lady Jane will like it?

And then I treat myself to some Biltong. Back at home it’s three trips carrying everything from the car up the stairs! I’m leaving the door shut until I’m done at the car – don’t want Mips to get the idea that it’s safe to play in the road! While I’m carrying in the perishables Ziva gets started opening the kitten food! Seriously!?! There’s a whole dispenser full with the exact same food, yet here she is doing her best to bite through the bag! Sigh!

I have some trouble putting the cat food away – well, with three cats watching my every move, climbing into the pantry, trying to help. And, of course, there’s not much space since I bought plenty last week as well, though at a higher price. Now I’m stocked for, oh, I’d say a month? Sigh, I sure hope so!

Oh, and I’m now trying Bob Martin Clear on the kittens! I can’t believe they are full of fleas, yet again! It’ll get better in winter, I hope. It’s really frustrating after all the products I’ve empties on their necks and they’re still suffering!

Hmm, I know I’m famous for scattering seeds arbitrarily, then wondering what will grow from them – but cats? I don’t remember ever having cat-seeds? Ai, ai! What next?

My Ziva-plant is quite content

My Mewthos-plant is a bit droopy

I wonder if I should water this plant?

My Lady Jane-plant looks like it will need re-potting to a bigger pot?

Ah, I shouldn’t have asked! Next: we take over the chair I sit on at the desk!

Well, it’s been a busy and entertaining day – well busy morning, anyway. I got to bed a bit late last night, don’t want to do that again tonight!
Ziva calculating her best move to catch the stick

You never want to be the focus of her planning!

Lady Jane just loves to jump
the higher, the better!

Ziva gets involved in the game

Lady Jane taking another jump!

The jump ends on her brother

This sight makes my heart stop!

Yeah, I just turn around and walk away

Nope, that's not Earl! He got 'dopted, remember?
That's his twin - Lady Jane!

Cats and boxes - inside and outside entertainment!
