I didn't sleep very well. For some reason, I've been struggling to sleep on my side - my hips feel like I'm lying on a plank. I can't sleep on my back, as that always results in nightmares ... I had a couple of weird dreams this morning already. In one dream, I was flying to America ... with my cats ... and for an even stranger reason, I was taking my entire household - furniture & all - with me! Apparently I would be moving when I get back. Nightmare, I tell you!
Well, I got up a bit late, made myself coffee, then packed up my PC and went to work.
I forgot to take my shopping list, though.
I'd asked about a reliable PC repair on one of the local groups, and someone referred me to Laptop Syndicate. I called and a very calm and helpful person answered - not a youngster, which immediately put me at ease. I can't take the slap-slap-splat over-the-phone do-what-I-tell-you attitude ... not with my PC. I'll go around after work.
I'm expecting to be without PC this weekend ... I've mentally prepared myself for that.
Takelot have an anniversary sale going on at the moment - valid only until Sunday. So, if any of my needed items are on that sale ... I guess I should order today.
Well, I've had a look and I see a few of my regular groceries on special. So, that's a done deal. I also see a lot more 'chancers' selling via Takealot now ... for example, I looked for prices for chocolate, and they're claiming it's 50% off - but the price is more than double the price I'd pay at the local Spar! There are a lot of items sold at exorbitant prices via Takealot now! I call that daylight robbery!
Fortunately, I'm capable of basic algebra. Although, the first time I saw that, I 'fell' for it - expecting the quantity to match the price! I got lucky, and the expected quantity was mentioned at the time I purchased - so I got a refund. Just shows you how many people out there make a living out of taking advantage!
Anyway, I see they also have the push mower on special. I'm seriously considering buying a replacement - mine has taken nearly two years of severe abuse ... and the price is still reasonable. The 'special' price, that is.
But ... I think I had better not. I've got the PC repair to pay, and I don't know how much that will be.
Plus, with me having to drive into Pretoria North anyway, I was thinking of going to Ninapark Superspar. I wish I had not forgotten my shopping list, though! On second thoughts, I think maybe I should leave that for when I go and collect my PC instead. Then I'll know what that will cost me ...
Well, almost time to leave ... I'm not sure whether I'll have to energy or patience to try writing on my phone. So, I'll just publish for now ... I can always post an update, if the mood takes me ...
